Spice Up Your Life and Live Longer

Posted by admin

If you found it a little hard to believe that the likes of fish oil and Bran Buds could be good for your heart, how would you feel if I told you that hot red peppers were heart helpers, too? Believe it. Medical researchers in Bangkok, Thailand, have found that hot peppers, or capsicum, as they’re also known, may well contain a substance that could turn out to be tomorrow’s miracle drug. While capsicum is scalding your tongue, it seems, it’s also cooling commotion in your blood vessels. This fiery little vegetable, grown and relished throughout much of the world, now seems to be able to help protect against thromboembolism, a potentially fatal blockage of a blood vessel by a clot transported by the bloodstream from some other part of the body.

Capsicum, the Thai doctors found, causes an increase in fibrinolytic activity (FA), a natural process that helps resist the formation of large and dangerous clots by dissolving them when they’re still small. Amazingly, they also found that capsicum works its wonder not only when it is eaten but even if it is simply held in the mouth for a short time. In any event, the effect is rapid, and short-lived, disappearing in about 10 minutes. That may not sound like much, but even a temporary increase in FA might be enough to break up any little clots that are up to no good. But that’s only half the story. While it’s heating up FA, capsicum also produces a temporary reduction in the coagulability of blood, making it less likely that any clots will be created in the first place.

mp3-players.jpg

How much do you like music? Can you imagine how silent this world without music? I do love music very much, and I listen to almost all music genres, depends on my mood. When I am sad, I’d like listening to pop or slow rock, when I am excited or in high spirit usually I listen to the music of Linkin Park or Green Day. In other time I also listen to Creed, Britney, Black Eye Peas, Gorillaz, Pearl Jam, Josh Groban, Bruce Springsteen, Enya, Aerosmith, James Blunt, Daniel Powter, Simply Red, The Corrs, Queen, and many others.

You know that my music range is so wide, and I’m getting bored easily, that’s why I need music player which has big memory and great sound system, and compact stylish gadget. Thank God that technology supports my hobby, now it is possible to choose any MP3 players with specification I want.

Stretch and Breathe to Make You Happier

Posted by admin

These are obviously two activities you perform every day, but today do them with deliberation and purpose.
The best time to stretch and breathe is when you wake up, before you eat breakfast. Find a quiet spot, one that is warm enough for you to do these stretching/breathing exercises wearing your most comfortable clothes. Then gently stretch your body, slowly breathing in and out through your nose as you stretch.

One beneficial stretching position is to form an inverted V with your hands and legs. Place your hands on the floor and keep your legs straight. Hold the position for four counts, then slowly come up. Feel your limbs stretch and the blood oxygenate your brain as it fills up your head.

Be aware of your limbs, your muscles, your joints. Don’t stretch too far. As soon as you feel resistance, pause, breathe in, and then stretch another quarter inch or so as you breathe out.

When you finish, lie peacefully on your back for several minutes. Darken the room and cover yourself with a light blanket or towel. Shut out the world for a spell. Think about nothing. Let your mind drift.
